I have to say, I’ve never been on the sticker chart bandwagon. Well, that is, until a couple of weeks ago. I’ve been feeling like I’m failing Lia at teaching her to read. The most important thing when teaching a kid to read (or probably teaching a kid anything that takes time!) is doing it consistently.
So I made Lia a sticker chart. And to be fair, it’s as much for me as it is for her. Every day, after we work on her letter sounds, she gets to put a sticker on her paper. And every day, she runs to her sticker chart and reminds me that we need to work on her letters. I would say that’s a success!
