Max’s First Grade Project – The Animal Diorama

A couple weeks ago, Max came home with an assignment from school: create a diorama showcasing an animal and it’s habitat. He picked the roadrunner for his animal. (While we don’t have cable and we avoid watching much tv, the kids LOVE the RoadRunner cartoons. I’m CERTAIN this is where he got the idea).

So we grabbed an empty box from the garage and Josh picked up some styrofoam from his mom’s house. Josh helped Max create his diorama one night last week when I was at the studio working.

And in case you can’t tell, that’s totally Wile E. Coyote hanging out in the background there. Max’s teacher has a great sense of humor, so I’m certain she will love this as much as I do!max

Coda had the same assignment. He built the arctic tundra and a polar bear all out of Lego's. :) Such a fun project.
